Secure storage of company archives and accounting records from bankruptcies and defunct companies
As a receiver, you may have to deal with a legal retention obligation for the financial archives of a defunct organization or bankrupt business estate. In addition, it can be very important to keep other relevant files for a while, so that the estate can be properly settled.
Sometimes we have to collect the administrative records of a company on behalf of a receiver at short notice. Sometimes the papers are packed in boxes. Sometimes we have to take cupboard and all. In this way, the receiver secures this crucial burden of proof in an externally secured archive depot. Employees on site can then take the time they need to find out what is important in the records.
In defunct and bankrupt organizations, it can be useful to buy off the total service for the storage period (often 7 years) in one go at the expense of the estate. Archiefkluis has developed a special solution for this.
Requests for documents from an archive stored in our archive depot can be made available digitally via scanning on demand or by physical delivery. The files are safely stored, yet quickly available. The law firm will determine whether the file should be delivered physically or digitally.
In an archive depot, the administration of the organization is safe and yet available. The receiver prevents potentially important documents from being ‘mislaid’ or ‘lost’. And if desired, any file, box or cabinet can be delivered on request. Finally, all costs can be charged to the estate so that no financial loose ends remain.
